Target Audience: Academic Staff interested in working with Malawian partners to realise impact of research

The Scottish Government Malawi Funding Round has been announced with a deadline for expressions of interest by 26th January 2017.  Strathclyde expects to submit a strong portfolio of applications, based on our extensive track record in working with Malawian partners for over 20 years.

The session will begin with an introduction to the call and the key changes from earlier years.  It will include case studies and lessons learned from our past experience with this fund and offers practical advice and support for those considering developing a proposal or interested in working with others in this area.

After the main course there will be an informal networking event for the wider Malawi Community of Practice at Strathclyde, to introduce academic staff to professional services staff with expertise in the Malawian partnership.

Participants will gain:

  • Detailed information on call requirements
  • Opportunities to engage with previously successful Strathclyde Malawi project holders
  • Briefing on priorities for Malawian partners – based on range of inputs from Scotland Malawi Partnership
