Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: All Staff
Mindfulness is designed to help you learn new ways of managing difficult physical sensations, feelings, thoughts and moods. The core skills that you will learn are; a way of paying attention, on purpose, non-judgementally to what goes on in the present moment in your body, mind and the world around you. Mindfulness can enable you to see things differently. It can increase your sense of personal confidence and of having more options and more strength to face the different challenges in your life.
This one hour session will allow you to try out some of the processes involved in becoming more mindful and will give you some strategies to remain mindful throughout the day.
If after this session you are interested in finding out more you will be signposted to more in-depth sessions.
