Target Audience: Postgraduate Research Students and Research Staff
Meet The Publisher is a series of seminars designed to support early careers researchers by allowing them to engage directly with a mix of publishers while also learning core skills to help them develop their research portfolio.
For this session we will be welcoming Emily Russell from Palgrave to talk us through their publishing process with a focus on developing your PhD thesis into a book.
By the end of the course participants will:
- Gained an insight into the key stages of publishing books with Palgrave
- Learned more detail about how to publish books and develop your thesis into a successful book title
- Practically applied their learning via an interactive workshop, to fully understand the strategies involved in book publishing.

All postgraduate research students are eligible to access the Researcher Development Programme workshops. This workshop can contribute towards the PG Certificate in Researcher Professional Development (PG Cert RPD).
You can find credit and class information in the Researcher Development Programme Handbook and in NEPTUNE (Engineering, HaSS) or SPIDER (Science).
Please check with your department or Supervisor to confirm if you are enrolled on the PG Cert RPD and how many credits you are expected to achieve if you are unsure.
