This short lunchtime session will teach you the basics about the Myplace quiz activity and how to create a simple multiple choice quiz. The Myplace quizzes are a set of questions grouped together, to be answered by a student in one sitting.

Prerequisites
This is a beginners course but you will be expected to know how to log in to MyPlace. Take lift to floor 6 of Graham Hills building (use the Richmond Street entrance) and follow signs to GH633.Programme (STEP). This is a unique development programme aimed at traditional academic and teaching staff, and relevant to all staff engaged in teaching.
CANCELLATION We want our events to run at full capacity to ensure value for money and to get the most from group interactions and discussions. Cancelling attendance at a course should only be done as a last resort (some of our events are delivered by consultants and we would incur a high fee if we need to cancel events based on low numbers). Demand is high for our events with many having a waiting list and when a booking is made, others are turned away on the strength of that booking. If you have to cancel an event we would appreciate as much notice as possible (at least 48 hours).
Cancellation Policy
When applying for a course, you should note that there will be a £50* to your department if you cancel within 5** working days or you do not attend, and a £25 charge for cancellations/ non-attendance between 6 and 10 working days. There will be no charge for cancellation made 10 or more working days before the event. Notifications should be made to OSDU@strath.ac.uk
A department is welcome to send someone else in your place if they wish without incurring a charge, providing that person has the necessary pre-requisites for the course. In the case of courses split over more than one day, you must attend ALL parts of the course. If you fail to attend any part you will be charged as outlined above.
*This is the standard charge for cancellation or non-attendance of course of 1 days duration or less. For some courses there may be a higher cancellation charge and if this is the case you will be advised of this at the time of booking.
**Any bookings made within 10 days of the event will incur the charges as specified.
