Target Audience: Academic/Research Staff, all levels

This session will present opportunities for industrial engagement in all parts of Horizon 2020, across the pillars of Excellent Science, Industrial Leadership and Societal Challenges. With the growing importance of industrial involvement and innovation in the programme, the session will provide the rationale for industrial engagement in the various parts of Horizon 2020 and show how project applications can be helped in evaluation when consortia have engagement with partners from industry.

The focus will range across schemes under Horizon 2020 such as Future and Emerging Technologies, ERC, Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions, Societal Challenges, Fast Track to Innovation Pilot and the SME Instrument.

As a result of the session, participants will develop an understanding of:

  • The opportunities for industrial engagement in all parts of Horizon 2020
  • The benefits of industrial engagement in both evaluation of proposals and impact of projects.
