Develop Yourself @Strathclyde is a series of 5 personal and career development sessions taking place over one day each month from September 2017 until November 2017.

An introductory workshop is being held in August to explain the structure and outcomes of the Develop Yourself @Strathclyde program. On completing this workshop participants will have an understanding about:

  • How the Develop Yourself @Strathclyde programme is structured in terms of the taught modules and the work required between modules.
  • The implications of the programme and the commitment required from each participant.
  • The Develop Yourself@Strathclyde programme and what it can offer each participant.

Prerequisites

In order to get maximum benefit from the Develop Yourself @Strathclyde Series, you must attend all 5 modules in sequence. Please check the dates to ensure you can attend all 5 modules:

  • Module 1 Getting to Know Yourself: 06/09/2017

  • Module 2 Getting to Know Your Life Balance: 02/10/2017

  • Module 3 Getting to Know How to Communicate Effectively: 27/10/2017

  • Module 4 Getting to Know Your Career Choices: 08/11/2017

  • Module 5 Getting to Know Your Road Ahead: 21/11/2017

CANCELLATION POLICY

When applying for a course, you should note that there will be a £50* to your department if you cancel within 5** working days or you do not attend, and a £25 charge for cancellations/ non-attendance between 6 and 10 working days. There will be no charge for cancellation made 10 or more working days before the event. Notifications should be made to OSDU@strath.ac.uk

A department is welcome to send someone else in your place if they wish without incurring a charge, providing that person has the necessary pre-requisites for the course. In the case of courses split over more than one day, you must attend ALL parts of the course. If you fail to attend any part you will be charged as outlined above.

*This is the standard charge for cancellation or non-attendance of course of 1 days duration or less. For some courses there may be a higher cancellation charge and if this is the case you will be advised of this at the time of booking.

**Any bookings made within 10 days of the event will incur the charges as specified.
