This session will be an opportunity to discuss some of the effects of social media and the open rights movement on academic practice.  Focusing on use of social media both as a research and as a promotion tool we will also look at the role peer review journals and open source publishing.  This will be an opportunity to discuss your own experiences of using social media in a research context.
