The aim of this session is to raise awareness of the barriers to learning that d/Deaf and hearing impaired students may face. Participants will be encouraged to consider how to make the learning and wider university environment more accessible to these students.

  Outcome/Objectives:

  • Understand the needs of students who are d/Deaf or hearing impaired
  • Reflect on the barriers that the university environment may present to students who are d/Deaf or hearing impaired and consider strategies to reduce these
