Tai chi, originally developed as a martial art in ancient China, combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. It is rooted in the philosophy of yin and yang and is practised around the world as a health-promoting exercise. Over this 4 week taster course, students will be introduced to the principles of tai chi postures and its simple movements. Tai chi is commonly performed as a low-impact exercise and is suitable for all. The movements are typically slow, graceful and gentle on the joints and muscles.
