Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Departmental Administrators, Supervisors with Tier 4 students, Course Co-ordinators
The University uses SEAMS to monitor the engagement and attendance of Tier 4 students. By using SEAMS we are able to meet Home Office compliance requirements and ensure that we protect the visa status of our students.
This presentation will give you an introduction to SEAMS and how to use it to record attendance, work placements or other changes in study location. The presentation will also explain how to record absence and holidays and the limits the Home Office places on the duration of absences. We will discuss how this affects students who request maternity leave and students who have exceptional or medical circumstances that prevent them from studying.
We will also discuss common problems and how to resolve them, as well as explaining what we do if a student stops engaging with study
