GLOBAL CHALLENGES RESEARCH FUND - INTERNAL FUNDING TO SUPPORT PARTNERSHIPS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

The Global Challenges Research Fund supports multidisciplinary research partnerships addressing the challenges of developing countries.  The University has secured funding to support pump-priming and follow-on activities to build partnerships with academic, government, business and third sector organisations.   Funding is intended to support collaborative partnerships that will lead to strong funding proposals for GCRF and other aid-funded research.  Clear impact routes require strong implementation partners in the Global South, and support is offered to maximise the impact potential of research.

Participants can expect to:

  • Gain a clear understanding of the priorities and structure of the Global Challenges Research Fund
  • Become familiar with Strathclyde’s GCRF strategic priorities and the opportunities to secure support for partnership development
