Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Staff and Students
Anyone in departments who has responsibility for risk assessing the impact of compressed gas releases or the inclusion of new compressed gas systems into new or existing laboratories or work areas, as required under COSHH and DSEAR.
The assessment of the potential safety impact of gas releases into laboratories and workrooms is required by law, especially toxic, flammable, harmful and asphixiant gases. This course aims to enhance the knowledge of those involved in the risk assessment of compressed gas use by providing delegates with the principles and information for estimating the possible effects of compressed gas releases into new and existing work areas and identifying the required control measures.

Prerequisites
CANCELLATIONWe want our training sessions to run at full capacity to ensure value for money and to get the most from group interactions and discussions. Cancelling attendance at a course should only be done as a last resort (some of our sessions are delivered by external training providers and we would incur a high fee if we need to cancel sessions based on low numbers). Demand is high for our training sessions with many having a waiting list and when a booking is made, others are turned away on the strength of that booking. If you have to cancel a training session we would appreciate as much notice as possible (at least 48 hours), and this can be done via the "Go To My Bookings" link.
Participants on this course must bring with them a labcoat (not dustcoat) and safety glasses.
