Target Audience: PhD's and Early Career Researchers

As future innovators, creators and entrepreneurs the Intellectual Property office are keen to ensure that researchers are able to take informed decisions on using IP through educating the next generation on understanding, developing and respecting IP whether you are staying in education or going on to employment.


Through information sessions and practical activity researchers will develop understanding of the potential of IP to PhD and early career researchers during their research projects, ensuring that researchers and their universities and increase the commercialisation of IP.

By the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Understand how the various forms of IP relate to research projects.
  • Become familiar with the available options to manage your research outcomes.
  • Know who can support you in managing your knowledge and intellectual assets.
