Leading Research Programme 2022

This programme is aimed at academic and research staff who have recently started leading research projects (or are likely to be doing so in the near future) and are aiming to develop (or expand) their own research groups.    The aim of the programme is to enable participants to be more effective in delivering research projects and sustaining funding.   The programme covers topics including:

  • Leading and managing researchers.
  • Managing complex research projects.
  • Developing a strategic research direction to enable sustainable growth of research activities.

This year the programme will be delivered through a blended model (mostly online) with six half days of training over a three-month period, plus additional e-learning activities between sessions. The time between workshops provides participants with an opportunity to apply the skills discussed in the workshop and to reflect on their application. Participants are expected to be able to attend all six sessions of the programme and complete the e-learning activities.
