Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: For academics, researchers, and knowledge exchange staff looking for protected time and space to work on writing.
This is a full weeklong fully online Zoom workshop - drop in or out as necessary
Sometimes, we all need a chance to break away from our normal routine. A writer's retreat is the perfect opportunity to spend some concentrated time on your writing.
The Strathclyde Writing Retreat series supports participants wishing to make significant progress on writing projects by allowing sufficient time to immerse themselves in the writing activity and to benefit from peer support.
Each Writing Retreat is a week-long structured event intended to provide participants with protected time and space in which to focus on meeting specific writing targets, encouraging time-on-task and providing a means of gauging progress. Where possible, participants will be able to contribute to disciplinary groups for discussion, feedback, and commentary. During the retreat, writers will also have the opportunity to obtain detailed feedback on their academic writing from the organiser, Dr Stuart Boon.
