Want to stand out by becoming a certified Apple Teacher or Google Educator level 1?

If you are an academic, teaching or support member of staff who uses (or who is interested in using) Apple products or Google software, you can distinguish yourself by becoming a certified ‘Apple Teacher’ or ‘Google Educator’.    Even if you are not currently involved in teaching, you can still learn a variety of skills using Apple or Google software to help you in your current post.

By the end of this session participants will:

  • Recognise the differences between an Apple Teacher and Google Educator
  • Know what they need to do to become an Apple Teacher or Google Educator
  • Have heard from staff and student teachers who are certified Apple Teachers and/or Google Educators on what they have learned and how their practice has been enhanced

Become an Apple Teacher

To become an Apple Teacher, you are required to complete 8 self-paced (and free) learning badges covering:  iPad or iMac, Pages, Keynote, Numbers, iMovie, GarageBand, Productivity and Creativity.

Become a Google Educator level 1

Google level one requires you to follow some training to familiarise yourself with the various tools, including forms, slides, docs and sheets. You then take a $10, 3 hour exam on your own webcam enabled computer.

After the session, participants will be encouraged to sign up to become an Apple Teacher or Google Educator and will be invited to attend follow up support sessions.

This is a one-off event, there is no waiting list.
