Debbie Crosbie, CEO of TSB will speak about her personal career journey and issues of gender equality in leadership roles.

Debbie Crosbie joined TSB as Chief Executive Officer on 1 May 2019, from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank (CYBG), where she was an Executive Board Director since 2014.

She started her career with the Prudential Assurance Company, and then joined CYBG in 1997. From February 2015 to June 2015, Debbie was Acting Chief Executive Officer. During this time, she led the preparation for the demerger and IPO from National Australia Bank, and was a key part of the management team who completed the transaction to form CYBG.

Debbie gave evidence to the UK Parliament’s inquiry into Women in the Workplace, and in 2015 became the first female executive to sign Scottish banknotes. She was also a Non-Executive Director of the Scottish Court Service for over three years, and Chairman of their Audit committee.

She is a member of the Glasgow Economic Leadership Board and has held the role of Vice Chair of Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Scotland Council, since September 2017.

Debbie holds an honours degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Strathclyde and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. In 2016, she was named the University of Strathclyde’s Alumna of the Year.
