Target Audience: Staff and postgraduate students

We are inviting all staff and postgraduate students to undertake one day of Carbon Literacy Training (delivered by the EAUC). The university is committed to responding to the climate emergency and aim for all staff to have undertaken this training by the end of 2020.

The Carbon Literacy Project is globally unique – there is nothing else quite like it anywhere. It was recognised as such by the UN at COP21, in Paris, where it was awarded as a TAP100, one of 100 worldwide Transformative Action Programs.

The course will involve presentations and workshops and will cover topics such as:

  • the simplified science behind climate change
  • how to calculate and interpret your carbon footprints
  • what individual actions you can take
  • why this is relevant to you and your audience

Please note a vegan lunch will be provided.
