This course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of those already involved in undertaking risk assessments and to provide initial training to those who are new to the subject. As well as giving participants the opportunity to undertake a risk assessment in practice, the course will provide a clearer understanding of:

  • The legal requirements for risk assessment
  • The purpose and benefits of risk assessment
  • The key stages in undertaking a risk assessment and achieving an effective conclusion
  • How to get organised for tackling risk assessment within a department
