Joseph Pilates developed his system of exercises to be dynamic and challenging, working the whole body and ultimately the mind. He also wanted everyone to do his mat exercises at home while working from his 1945 book, "Return to Life through Contrology". The goal of "Contrology" is to uniformly develop the body with a focus on the muscles of the trunk including diaphragm, abdominals, upper and lower back muscles, pelvic floor, hips and glutes. This dynamic session is for individuals who are active and want to develop "core" strength and flexibility.
