This course equips staff with the basic knowledge and understanding of lasers and their hazards. To enable them to adopt good practice in the safe use of lasers.

Participation on this course is recommended in order for departments to comply with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and to adopt good practice in the Safe Use of Lasers as detailed in guidance from the European Normalised British Standard (BS EN 60825) in line with the Control of Artificial Optical Radiation at Work Regulations 2010.

To equip staff and students with the basic knowledge and understanding of:
