Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Teaching staff, learning technologists, and all those involved in delivering excellent student experiences at Strathclyde
Self-paced online study with face-to-face consolidation sessions
The ‘pivot’ to blended/online learning at Strathclyde has brought with it a number of challenges and opportunities. A well-designed blended/online curriculum can support positive student experiences, new ways of learning and flexibility across time, space and place. However, the move to blended/online learning can also disrupt many of the expectations that students, teachers and administrative have about the learning experience and the relationships they have with one another, and the curriculum itself.
This STEP course will introduce participants to module-level learner agreements and explore the impact of these agreements on student engagement and retention in blended/online learning, and on the administrative ‘load’ around student enrolment.
By participating in this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe module-level learner agreements
- Explain the importance of these agreements, and their impact on student retention and engagement
- Create and deploy their own module-level learner agreements
Self-paced study live from 1st of February 2021
Details of consolidation sessions will be given within MyPlace once participants are registered for the module
