Crowdhelix – Opportunities for Staff to develop International Collaborative Research through Horizon Europe and other International Programmes.

Join this session to hear about how you can benefit from the University’s membership of CrowdHelix.  CrowdHelix is Open innovation platform designed to forge links between international networks of excellent researchers and innovating companies to assist in planning and delivering pioneering collaborative projects.

The University of Strathclyde is a member of Crowdhelix, an open innovation platform that helps its member organisations, comprised of leading European universities and top innovating companies, to plan and deliver international collaborative research projects.

Two members of the Crowdhelix Secretariat, will explain to Strathclyde staff how they can benefit from the University’s membership, including the setting up of Crowdhelix individual profiles, joining subject and theme specific “Helixes”, in order to link with like-minded researchers across the European Union and more widely, for the purposes of initiating and developing international collaborative research activity, and taking part in Crowdhelix events.  Particular focus will be on the EU Euro 95.5bn Horizon Europe programme (2021-2027), to which the UK is associating.

Course Outcome/Objectives;

At the end of the session, you will have gained an understanding of Crowdhelix, in particular its aims and operation, how to set up a personal profile in Crowdhelix for the purpose of joining up with European and international partners to pursue research funding opportunities, how to join a “Helix” of like-minded researchers in academic and industrial organisations across Europe, and how to benefit from the services offered by the Crowdhelix Secretariat (including events, help with forging partnerships, and writing proposals).

This is an individual course and will be delivered by Natalia Grzomba, Community & Project Manager and Cais Jurgens, Network Development Manager, Crowdhelix
