Target Audience: Staff who are responsible for leading change or improvement initiatives and who want to deliver a meaningful Continuous Improvement Project.

The CI Practitioners Programme is a great way to meet like-minded colleagues from across the University and pick up improvement skills that you can use straight away. It will also support you to deliver a project that you can be proud of.

The CI Practitioners Programme consists of two core modules.

These are: CI Ideas and CI Tools and Delivery.

More specifically the training covers the following:

CI Ideas

  • Pillars of Lean
  • A Lean History
  • 5 Principles of Lean
  • 8 Wastes of Lean

CI Tools and Delivery

  • Project Proposal
  • Benefits Exploration and Data Plans
  • SIPOC
  • Process Mapping
  • Impact/Effort Chart
  • Action Plan
  • Benefits Realisation

Each Module lasts approximately 3 hours and is very practical in nature, preparing you to be able to manage your own Continuous Improvement Project.
