Programme Structure
The Strathclyde Leadership Development Programme - Leading for Strategic Outcomes, takes a facilitated approach to learning, consisting of taught sessions and 3 on-line modules with action learning as a key feature to the programme. Reflection and self-awareness will be promoted by using tools such as Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
Qualification
Participants will have the option of completing the ILM level 5 Award in Leadership and Management. (The ILM qualification is chargeable to either the participant or the department)
The programme will be delivered via Zoom and will run from November 2021 to May 202

Personality Profiling Tool - MBTI
The MBTI tool will be used to support your self-awareness. You will receive 1:1 feedback, details will be available on how to complete the questionnaire and book your feedback session at the beginning of the programme.
The modules must be completed prior to attending the first session of the programme.

Tailored Diagnostic Tools
To enhance your development as a leader, we recommend that you engage with a diagnostic tool of your choice to support personal effectiveness. (a cost is involved in completing these diagnostics). You can choose one of the following tools:
· 360 Feedback based on Strathclyde Framework for Effective Academic and Professional Leadership Behaviours
· MBTI step 2
· Hogan Assessment (Personality, Inventory, Development Survey and Motives, Values and Preferences Inventory)
· Thomas PPA
Internal Award
To qualify for the internal programme award, participants must attend at least 80% of the taught modules, complete the on-line modules, and submit a summative written assignment of 2000 words. The assignment is work based, and designed to show how learning is being transferred back into the workplace. This assignment should only be completed by those not working towards the ILM option.
Institute of Leadership and Management Qualification
Participants can work towards the ILM Certificate in Leadership and Management at Level 5. As with the internal programme, participants must attend 80% of the taught workshops, and complete the on-line modules.
The following costs apply. Internal Programme: Free. ILM Certificate: £700. The ILM cost can be met either by the department or the individual member of staff. Participants will be registered on receipt of a departmental budget code, or on payment by the individual.
Sponsoring departments will be notified of the above requirements, and timescales for completion.
Everyone undertaking the ILM qualification will be required to attend a compulsory ILM tutorial meeting.

Prerequisites
**Prior to joining the Leading for Strategic Outcomes programme, you must take part in the 1 hour information session. This session can be booked via the online booking system.Cancellation Policy
When applying for a course, you should note that there will be a £50* to your department if you cancel within 5** working days or you do not attend, and a £25 charge for cancellations/ non-attendance between 6 and 10 working days. There will be no charge for cancellation made 10 or more working days before the event. Notifications should be made to OSDU@strath.ac.uk
A department is welcome to send someone else in your place if they wish without incurring a charge, providing that person has the necessary pre-requisites for the course. In the case of courses split over more than one day, you must attend ALL parts of the course. If you fail to attend any part you will be charged as outlined above.
*This is the standard charge for cancellation or non-attendance of course of 1 days duration or less. For some courses there may be a higher cancellation charge and if this is the case you will be advised of this at the time of booking.
**Any bookings made within 10 days of the event will incur the charges as specified.
