Is this course right for me?

Target Audience: Those nominated to assist with the safe evacuation of persons with a mobility impairment and who have completed the Evacuation Chair Training – Part 1 course.

To provide practical training, advice and guidance on the use of an evacuation chair.

To provide nominated persons with practical evacuation chair training to impart confidence in both the apparatus and the arrangements/procedures.

Prerequisites

Prior to undertaking the training courses, staff and post-graduates are required to have successfully completed the Evacuation Chair – Part 1 Training and associated quiz, and familiarised themselves with the risk assessment for the use of evacuation chairs.

Further Information

Training should be undertaken once you have been nominated [to be available] to assist persons (in the event of an emergency evacuation) with a mobility impairment. Refresher training should be carried out at least every three years.
