Target Audience: New Leaders
Strathclyde Leadership Development Programme
This series of leadership workshops and learning circles will help you assess and develop your leadership style.
We will explore conversations, how to make a difference as a leader, how to engage people around you in that vision and how to get things done to achieve your vision. The approach is short bursts of theory and practice inputs encouraging discussion followed by skills practise and feedback. We use exercises designed to encourage curiosity, experimentation and moving out of comfort zones. We facilitate discussion and self-reflection on live leadership challenges and real-world examples. We encourage the sharing of stories on ‘what works’, and peer feedback and learning. You will be able to bring your own leadership challenges to the sessions and get help to resolve these now and in the future.
The programme is built around three fundamentals of leadership, Purpose, People and Performance and there will be an opportunity to apply the learning to a project of significance to the University.
