Refresher workshop showing the key features and basic ways of searching for chemistry information in Reaxys: Quick Search, Structure Editor, Query Builder, Retrosynthesis, History and Alerts.

Searching chemistry information in Reaxys.

Chemists in all fields search for the latest literature, bioactivity data and chemical transformations, so why not improving how to query and filter for chemical substances, properties and reactions with Reaxys? Reaxys is a powerful chemistry data-searching tool designed to retrieve chemical reactions, substances and their properties, patent data and other relevant information. Reaxys contains more than 118 million organic, inorganic and organometallic substances, over 49 million reactions and more than 500 million published experimental facts. It can be searched in many ways, including by chemical structure, formula, and physical property parameters. Designed by chemists, Reaxys is more than a chemistry database, it is a cheminformatics solution that delivers chemistry facts the way chemists need them.

Learning Outcomes.

Using Reaxys, participants will learn how to:

  • Query and filter for chemical substances, compound properties and reactions
  • Design, launch and identify optimal synthetic routes for target molecules
  • Carefully plan the budget needed for research projects
  • Draw structures, set searches and analyse results, all in one view
