Target Audience: ILM 5 Coaching & Mentoring Candidates
Reflection tools for leaders to increase self-awareness, strategic insight and personal wellbeing.
This practical event provides an opportunity to explore and practice a range of reflection tools to
help participants develop their leadership skills. We will cover the evidence about the benefits of
protecting time for reflection, and methods such as journaling and reflective writing, finding and
using surprising questions, examples of creative/visual approaches, using peer support and
challenge and challenging our assumptions. Participants will begin to develop a plan for ongoing
reflection based on what works best for them.
Outcomes/Objectives
· Understand the benefits of reflection for leaders
· Practice a range of reflection methods and discover what works
· Create a plan to apply reflection practices in developing leadership capability
