Target Audience: Anyone who is interested in learning more about Project SEARCH

Project SEARCH “Meet and Greet” event is an opportunity to meet people involved in this fantastic course which has been running at the University since 2014.  (This is an employability course for young people with an autistic spectrum condition and/or a learning disability. The students/interns are placed in work placements around the campus and supported by a University staff member – buddy - in their placement.  The job coaches on the course are based on the University campus and monitor progress and support where necessary).  Many staff have been involved as buddies in the past and those who have taken on this role this year will be invited along to this informal event where staff, interns and some family members will meet and chat about their experiences so far this year, post Covid.

We would like to invite anyone who is interested to learn more about PS, either as a family member who may be interested in the course for someone they know or as a staff member who may be interested in taking on the role of buddy supporting one of the young adults on the course, to come along to this event.

Pop in over lunch time and say hi – no commitments, no pressure
