Target Audience: Staff involved in research or research support

This is a live in-person event.

Come along for an interactive conversation to explore the concept of ‘responsible research assessment’, reflect on how it applies to activities at Strathclyde and propose solutions for areas of improvement.

Strathclyde has recently become one of the first UK universities to sign the global Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment, which aims to promote assessment of research, researchers and research organisations in a way that recognises the diverse outputs, practices and activities maximising the quality and impact of research. This event will be an opportunity to discuss what this means for Strathclyde.

The session will be facilitated by colleagues from RKES and OSDU with expertise in research assessment. Summarised outcomes and key ideas from the session will be fed into an ongoing review of research assessment processes at Strathclyde.

Course Outcomes/ Objectives;

Participating in the event will enable you to

  • further your understanding of responsible research assessment;
  • reflect in conversation with colleagues on how research assessment links to your own context in positive and negative ways; and
