Target Audience: All staff involved in research or research support

This is a live in-person event.

An important aspect to consider when planning and carrying out research with integrity is what impact that research may have. This relates to the outcomes of your research but also to the way that research is conducted.

This workshop invites you as a researcher or research leader to reflect on how your research approaches and practices will impact both positively and negatively on the world. Using the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as an internationally accepted framework, we will discuss how you can start thinking about your research work and its impact within the dimensions of the environment, society and economy.

Course Outcomes/ Objectives;

Participating in this event will enable you to

  • gain a better understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a framework;
  • identify tools which may assist you in assessing your research in relation to the SDGs;
  • reflect on the impact of your research and research approaches in wider contexts; and
  • meet and discuss with other colleagues from across the University.

Please note that this event is part of Strathclyde's Research Integrity & Culture Week 2023. You can see the full programme for Research Integrity & Culture Week 2023 here.
