Target Audience: Researchers (staff and PGR students) who are collecting and processing personal data in their work

This is a live, on-campus event.

Come along to this interactive session on best practices and university expectations around working with personal participant data in research!

The workshop will provide practical guidance on demonstrating compliance with GDPR (UK) as well as on completing templates for participant consent and recording agreement, all elements that Strathclyde researchers are asked to prepare when collecting personal data from participants. It will also look at how to record personal data (files) in the project Data Management Plan in an effective and useful manner.

In this session, one of Strathclyde’s research data management experts will provide an introduction to the topic before you will have a chance to explore sample case studies, look at related legislation (cf. GDPR) and UoS participant consent and recording agreement templates in more detail and ask any questions you may have.
