Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Staff
ESD, Me and a Cup of Tea is an informal lunchtime monthly meet up where Strathclyde staff share their experience of embedding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into their teaching and curriculum. Each month we'll hear from a different member of staff who will
discuss their approach to ESD over a cuppa. Most sessions will last between 30-45 minutes. There's no formal presentation and discussion is encouraged.
This month we will hear from Iain Black from Department of Marketing in the Strathclyde Business School.
Iain will talk about his offering and experience as part of the MBA - Challenge paradigms by thinking the unthinkable
In this session he will set out pedagogy developed for Undergraduate and Masters level courses to support deep learning for sustainability. Guided, loosely, by Blooms revised taxonomy, and aiming to embed ESD knowledge and competencies, this session will explore a range of tools, tasks and assessments used to challenge unchallengeable truths, specifically around GDP growth and ‘flat earth’ thinking.
Iain will be delighted to discuss how and why this content has been developed and would be interested in hearing feedback. Put on the kettle and join us online at 12.00pm on 20th March
