Target Audience: Staff who would like to deliver Race Equality resources (from the 'Tackling Racism on Campus' Campaign)

Join us for a one-hour session as we introduce the Advance HE ‘Tackling Racism on Campus’ Race Equality workshop resource.

This session would be ideal for staff members who would like to open conversations within their faculties, directorates or departments around systemic racism, microaggressions and racial literacy, utilising existing resources which aim to support awareness raising and create space for confident conversations.

In our session we will be running through the ‘Tackling Racism on Campus’ resource, focusing specifically on the racial literacy and microaggression sections.

We will be discussing:

  1. Building confidence in holding anti-racist conversations
  2. Handling challenging comments/conversations.

Led by Jennifer Ba, Senior Race Equality Officer, and Simran Kaur, Equality and Diversity Engagement Officer, this workshop aims to empower and normalise anti-racist dialogue in the institution.
