Target Audience: All academic, administrative and professional services staff responsible for delivering and supporting programmes
Forum 1 will be led by Deputy Associate Principals Brian Green and Helyn Gould. Faculty Vice Deans Academic from HASS and Science will share reflections and priorities for this academic year and Karen Barton, Deputy Director of Education Enhancement will lead a session on use of generative AI to support learning, teaching and assessment.
This session will focus on the use of Gen-AI tools for supporting staff in learning, teaching and assessment with a particular focus on personal experiences of Strathclyde colleagues involved in a JISC-sponsored pilot project, evaluating a Gen-AI based ‘personal assistant’ tool called Teachermatic. Following a brief overview of the tool, there will be an interactive panel session with staff involved in the pilot who will share their reflections on using the tool.
The forum will run for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with time afterwards for questions and discussion. Tea and Coffee will be provided.
