The aim of this class is to provide participants an opportunity to evaluate, develop and enhance their own theoretically-informed approach to becoming an effective higher education teacher at Strathclyde.

 Learning Objectives, Skills and Abilities

Having completed this module, participants will be able to:

  1. Design and deliver effective teaching programmes that meet sector and institutional quality requirements and expectations [V4, K2, K5, A1]
  2. Demonstrate an evidence-base for their practice in learning and teaching [V3, A1]
  3. Align learning and teaching practices with the Professional Standards Framework [V3, K3, K5, A5]
  4. Engage with a pedagogical community of practice [V5, A5]
  5. Apply and evaluate practical techniques in learning and teaching through reflection on experience as a learner and teacher [K1-3, A1-2]
