Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Staff
The aim of this session is to enable participants to explain the importance of structure in accessible digital content and apply best practices when using headings, lists, and tables.
Properly structured content improves accessibility by making it easier for everyone, including disabled individuals, to navigate and understand. By using appropriate headings, accessible lists, and well-structured tables, you can enhance the usability and accessibility of your content.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- produce appropriate heading structures to improve navigation and readability
- choose list types that communicate relationships between content
- explain the importance of a meaningful table structure
This session will focus on key principles, rather than platform-specific implementations. However, the considerations discussed can be applied regardless of platform.
These "Accessibility in brief" sessions provide a solid foundation to the techniques applied in our practical "Accessibility in practice" sessions.
