Target Audience: Staff

The aim of this session is to equip participants with the skills to improve the accessibility of their digital content by using clear, plain language and considering readability. Accessible language helps ensure content is understandable for all users, including those with cognitive disabilities.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Employ clear language for improved readability
  • Use acronyms, abbreviations, and instructions in an inclusive way
  • Apply best practices for text formatting

This session will focus on key principles, rather than platform-specific implementations. However, the considerations discussed can be applied regardless of platform.

These "Accessibility in brief" sessions provide a solid foundation to the techniques applied in our practical "Accessibility in practice" sessions.
