Target Audience: Staff

The aim of this session is to equip participants with skills to make audio and video content accessible to all users. Providing captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions can ensure that multimedia content is accessible to a broader audience.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of captions and transcripts for audio and video content
  • Identify the need for audio descriptions to enhance accessibility for visual content
  • Ensure visual content is safe and easy to perceive

This session will focus on key principles, rather than platform-specific implementations. However, the considerations discussed can be applied regardless of platform.

These "Accessibility in brief" sessions provide a solid foundation to the techniques applied in our practical "Accessibility in practice" sessions.
