Target Audience: Staff

The aim of this session is to enable content creators to produce accessible digital documents in Microsoft Word.

Whether you are creating class materials, project proposals, policy documents or meeting agendas and minutes, it’s essential to prioritise accessibility so that everyone can access and engage with your content effectively.

Ensuring that the documents we create are accessible promotes equal access to information and digital inclusion for everyone. Through practical examples and exercises, participants will learn techniques to effectively structure and style document content to cater to the needs of diverse audiences.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • organise text content in a meaningful and consistent way using headings, lists and tables
  • provide equivalent, appropriate text alternatives for images
  • use language and visual presentation of text to enhance understanding
