The aim of this session is to enable content creators to produce accessible webpages using TerminalFour (T4), the University’s Content Management System.

As the University’s main presence on the internet, the Strathclyde website offers a welcoming hub for prospective and current students, colleagues and visitors. Therefore, ensuring that our web content caters to the needs of a diverse audience by offering choice, consistency and control, is essential.

Through practical examples and exercises, participants will gain the skills to produce content for the Strathclyde website that follows accessibility best practices, ensuring that their digital content is inclusive and accessible to all users.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • organise page content in a meaningful and consistent way using headings, lists and tables
  • provide equivalent text alternatives for images, where appropriate
  • use language and visual presentation of text to enhance understanding

Prerequisites

Familiarity with the T4 Content Management System. Although not essential, we also recommend attending one or more of our Accessibility in brief sessions which cover the core principles put into practice during this session.
