CMA Guidelines were published in 2015 and refreshed in 2023, setting out Higher Education Institutions' obligations under consumer law. We have a contract with our applicants and students and, as such, are required to be clear, transparent and fair in the information we provide, our terms, our communications, our conversations and complaints.

Universities who fail to meet their obligations can be in breach of consumer law.

The workshop will explore:

- The CMA Guidelines, Consumer Law and recent updates

- Key themes and principles and the focus on transparency, clarity and fairness

- Risks and opportunities

- Practical steps, priorities and Governance

- pinch points, pitfalls and considerations for Admissions and Recruitment colleagues
