Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Professionals who teach and/or support learning
These online workshops will be delivered by colleagues at the University of Glasgow who have been leading on efforts to decolonise the curriculum at Glasgow.
They will introduce participants to some of the challenge and opportunities associated with creating inclusive culture in higher education. The workshops will also explore some of the practical implications of decoloniality in the context of curriculum enhancement, recognising the value of long-term, ongoing processes over so-called ‘quick-wins’
Background
One of the key outputs of Strathclyde’s Race Equality Steering Group was the establishment of a ‘Decolonising the Curriculum’ community of practice. The Steering Group also identified staff development and capacity building as key opportunities.
Recognising the potential for collaboration with colleagues in the wider HE sector in Scotland, members of the Curriculum and Development subgroup have partnered with colleagues at the University of Glasgow, who will support the establishment of a community of practice here at Strathclyde.
This workshop is part of a series of events between November 2024 and June 2025. Details of other events in the series can be found on the Development and Training Booking System.
