Target Audience: All academic staff and post graduate students, who would like to understand how they can create research impact through commercialisation.
Course Description;
This one-off session will hear from Strathclyde academic staff and leading training provider Skillfluence.
The session will begin with high-level presentations on how commercialisation practice and thinking can be embedded within research culture. It will then showcase academic colleagues who are creating research impact through innovative projects. After the presentation, there will be an informal Q&A with the speakers, allowing the audience to delve deeper into areas of interest.
The Webinar will conclude with information on how the Industry Engagement & Commercialisation Team can support academic colleagues.
Course Outcomes/Objectives;
- Definition of commercialisation
- Understanding of how this can be embedded within research culture
- Examples of commercialisation projects and how they create research impact
- Support available at Strathclyde to develop commercial opportunities through research

- The session will take place on Zoom
- Auto-captions will be enabled
- There will be audience participation
- You can keep your camera off
- You are asked to attend the whole session
- This is a short session (1 hour) with no break
- The session is relaxed – this means you can stretch, move around, stim etc.
