Celebrating Excellence in Learning and Teaching at Strathclyde

Following a brief hiatus, Strathclyde's annual Teaching and Learning Day returns in 2025.

This valuable development opportunity is intended for all staff involved in teaching and supporting learning. The programme (which will be circulated at a later date) will celebrate diverse and innovative teaching practices across our 4 Faculties and Professional Services Directorates.

Building on our strong culture of practice sharing, which is evident in initiatives like the Learning and Teaching Improvement Framework Forums and MicroCPD Mondays, the day promises to be both practical and thought-provoking.

Keynote presentations and panel discussions will help participants envision excellent student experiences at a research-intensive university. Contributions will be informed by sector and societal developments, and supported by our educational strategy and values. The day will also highlight the latest innovations and trends in educational technology.

Finally, leveraging the success of Staff Peer Support Networks at Strathclyde, the Teaching and Learning Day will offer valuable networking opportunities that, we hope, will sow seeds of future collaboration across the Institution. There will be opportunities for colleagues across the University to contribute through lightning talks, practical demonstrations, and poster presentations.
