Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Staff (Academic & Professional Services)
During this workshop, we will achieve the following aims.
- raise awareness of the barriers to learning that students with anxiety may face, including an overview of related mental health conditions
- consider what you can do to remove barriers for these students
- discuss case studies, listen to student experience and look at examples of best practice
This workshop is an introduction to the broad topics of anxiety, anxiety disorders and stress. This interactive session will combine presentation, discussion and exercises using case studies.
The workshop will last for two hours with a short break in the middle. Slides will be made available to participants. If you have any access requirements, please contact Grace Edwards (g.edwards@strath.ac.uk)
The workshop will be held on the following dates and times.
- Wednesday 19th November 2025, 10am – 12pm (In person, Wellbeing Room, TL466)
In person sessions are held within the Disability & Wellbeing Service. We are based on the fourth floor of the Learning & Teaching Building, in the Mary Dunn Wing. There is level access from Rottenrow and lift access from the ground floor entrance on Richmond Street.
