Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Staff
At the University of Strathclyde, we are committed to creating and promoting a safe and respectful environment that enables students, staff, and all members of our community to learn, work, and live free from harm, abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
This course takes you through Safe360° which brings together national guidance with our university policies and procedures and promotes support for our diverse community of students, staff and anyone involved in university activity.
It outlines our shared commitment to the care and protection of all who use our services, in particular, the University's legal responsibilities as a Higher Education Institution and a charity to ensure that appropriate safeguarding measures are in place:
- To protect children and young people under 18 years of age and adults at risk.
- Where we understand how we can work together to create a supportive culture.
- Enabling anyone to report a concern or an incident, whether it's happened to them, personally, or to someone else, including anonymous reporting.
- Promoting useful contacts, resources and information relating to safeguarding.
This course should take around 40 minutes to complete. It includes opportunities for reflection as well as some quick quiz check-in activities and additional resources.
You will also be able to download a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course when you have completed all of the activities.
