Target Audience: PGR Students in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Presenting at conferences and using social media for research impact and networking

We consider all aspects of conference presentations:

  • which conferences to attend and submit proposals to;
  • writing successful abstracts;
  • creating visual presentations;
  • the importance of engaging your audience and holding their attention;
  • networking and developing relationships.

We are also looking at the increasing use of social media in promoting one’s research.

At the end of the workshop, you should feel confident about presenting at conferences and ready to share your research, online and in person!
