Target Audience: All staff with a role in PG Research Supervision

There will be a particular focus on how these factors may affect the supervision relationship and how you can support your supervisees.

This workshop will explore key considerations for staff supervising international research students, including social and cultural orientation, cross-cultural communication and financial and visa issues. There will be a particular focus on how these factors may affect the supervision relationship and how you can support your supervisees.

This  workshop can be used as  a ‘Day-to-Day Supervision Skills’ option towards the Strathclyde Supervisor Development Programme.

This is an optional module of the Strathclyde Supervisor Development Programme (see link to webpage below) **
